Astronomy Walkers
An actress tormented by a recurring nightmare is shown how to connect to the unborn through lucid dreams
Astronomy Walkers features Shelyse Cameron as Taylor Murdoch, Mark James as Anthony, and Melantha Blackthorne as the Spirit Guide. It is the first Canadian indie feature to be shot on Easter Island by writer, director, producer Reno Anastasio of Healing Light Films. Principal Photography began in 2020, with film festival release slated for 2025, followed by Video On Demand commercial distribution.
In the vast majority of commercial, mainstream movies, women have been traditionally represented through the patriarchal "madonna-- whore" paradigm, and this has been a bone of contention for feminist discourse. This indie movie challenges this tradition and portrays women through the "goddess--healer" paradigm.

Exotic dancers, Viper and Cobra, perform a surprise birthday gram for Alex, a closet lesbian so grossed out by their no-holds-barred performance that she has a nightmare of her girlfriends being stalked and killed by Viper's supernatural (and super sexy) Thong. As the only survivor, she must confront her fears, find a way to defeat Viper's Thong and admit to herself her attraction to women. In the aftermath, Alex wakes and finds her coffee table covered with party Polaroids. As she looks through the outrageous and crazy pictures, she realizes it's time for her to come out of the closet.
